My name is Rafael Mohr and I'm a second year PhD student at the PolSys team at Sorbonne University and at AGAG at TU Kaiserslautern. My thesis is supervised by Christian Eder, Mohab Safey El Din and Pierre Lairez.

Research Interests: Computer algebra/Symbolic computation, in particular advanced Groebner basis algorithms and their usage, computational complex geometry.

Projects & Publications

2020

  • (Diploma thesis, PDF) In my diploma thesis I used Picard-Lefschetz theory to compute the periods of a projective hypersurface. It was supervised by Emre Sertöz during his stay at the MPIMiS in Leipzig and Bernd Sturmfels.

2022

  • (Article, preprint, arxiv, hal) A Signature-based Algorithm for Computing the Nondegenerate Locus of a Polynomial System, joint with Christian Eder, Pierre Lairez and Mohab Safey El Din.
  • (Software) Julia implementation of the F5 algorithm and the Algorithm presented in the above paper, available on Github.
